  • Project Manager

    At Butler Construction Company, our Project Managers lead projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. They coordinate teams, manage schedules and budgets, and maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction—delivering successful results every time.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build and mentor high-performance project teams; conduct performance reviews 
    • Serve as a trusted client advisor and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors
    • Administer contracts and subcontracts; drive negotiations and change management 
    • Develop, update, and manage the master project schedule; collaborate closely in preconstruction phases
    • Oversee budget, cost reporting, and financial performance; prepare pay applications 
    • Lead quality assurance/control (QA/QC) and enforce safety protocols on-site 
    • Lead risk assessments; manage contract terms, insurance, labor relations, and compliance 
    • Report progress and budget updates through regular operational review meetings 

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Construction, Engineering, or related field
    • Minimum ~5 years of relevant commercial construction experience 
    • Expertise in cost control, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering/accounting fundamentals 
    • Strong communication and presentation skills; proficiency with MS Office and project management software 
    • Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes 
    • Leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills; high personal accountability and integrity 

    Physical & Work Environment:

    • Regular on-site presence; ability to climb ladders, hoists, and stairs; handling of up to ~50 lb objects 
    • Exposure to typical construction site hazards: equipment, noise, weather, and airborne particles 


  • Superintendent

    A superintendent at Butler Construction Company is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects from initial planning to completion. This includes supervising site operations, managing subcontractors and field staff, enforcing safety protocols, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining schedules and budgets. The ideal canidate has strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to solve problems on the fly.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily on-site operations and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
    • Coordinate and supercise all construction activites, subcontractors, and trades
    • Monitor progress and prepare detailed daily reports on job status
    • Interpret and ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and building codes
    • Schedule inspections, subcontractors, deliveries, and other key project elements
    • Enforce company and OSHA safety standards at all times
    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve any issues or changes
    • Maintain accurate records of job site activity and employee time
    • Ensure high-quality workmanship and address any deficiencies immediately

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in a construction leadership of supervisory role
    • Proven track record of managing commercial or residential construction projects
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprints
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to lead and motivate field crews and subcontractors
    • Proficient in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)
    • OSHA 30 certification (Preferred)
    • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

    Working Conditions:

    • Full-time, on-site presence required
    • Abilites to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
    • May involve extended hours or weekend work depending on project deadlines

  • Carpenter

    At Butler Construction Company, our Carpenters play a crucial role in building and shaping every project. They handle a wide range of duties including reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, framing structures, installing doors and windows, and finishing interiors with trim and cabinetry. Skilled in using a variety of tools and techniques, they ensure every detail meets quality and safety standards. 


    Key Responsibilities:

    o Adhere to all safety regulations and work in a drug-free environment 

    o Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, light gauge metal stud framing, blocking, set hollow metal door frames, doors and hardware, temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions 

    o Must be able to provide own tools including, but not limited to, hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch

    o May be required to work outside in all weather conditions 

    o Must have drivers license and transportation

    o Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees

    o Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Butler standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite security 

    o The ability to work independently with minimal supervision 

    o Display a high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations

     

    Qualifications:

    o 3 years Commercial Construction Carpenter experience preferred. Experience concrete forms, metal stud framing, hollow metal door frames, door hardware, and basics of acoustical ceiling framing 

    o Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 50lbs and work outside in all weather conditions 


    Physical Factors and Working Conditions: 

    o Must work overtime as needed 

    o Must be able to work outdoors 

    o Must be able to walk and work around moving equipment 

    o Must be able to climb stairs and work around and on uneven surfaces 

    o Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and walk around construction projects
